Done!

The floor is done! The floor is done! The floor is done!

That's not to say that there's nothing left to do downstairs .. but the biggest and most necessary part of the job is finished. I have some pictures of the progress we've been making but have been too busy making progress these days to get around to posting them. The more 'aesthetic' things will slowly be added as the weeks progress and I fully expect to not consider things really 'done' on the first floor for a few more months. Especially, as there are a couple of other more pressing issues to attend to.

It's also kind of a coincidence that the floor was pretty well finished the same day as Bean was pretty well finished. What I mean to say is that I'm now 37 weeks pregnant which is the official point where one is deemed 'full term'. If Bean were to be born tomorrow, the birth would be considered 'early' but not 'premature'. Much like the floor, the baby is functionally finished but there's just a bit more growing to do before we can say that Bean's really 'done'. (Though, Rob thinks that my belly is looking pretty big - big enough to call me 'done' and have Bean come out already). However, given that studies suggest that the average gestation time for a first baby is actually 41 weeks and not the usual estimated 40 weeks, Bean and I still have some time to go.

Talk to you soon,

B.

It's a weird feeling. It could be time to go to the hospital in 4 hours, 4 days, or 4 weeks! Welcome to your due month.
