An Ultimate Weekend

It's Playoffs Weekend!!!! I have to say that I really love running around the whole weekend. It's exhausting in that really good way. My body is tired but my brain is very clear. These are Toronto Ultimate Club Monday night playoffs. That's how many teams we have here -- so many that we can't have full league playoffs, we have to separate by game night. Our team is seeded 21st of 40. They divide the teams into two pools, Tier One and Tier Two. Because we're seeded 21st, we were put into Tier Two. That makes us the highest seed of Tier Two. And that means that our games today should have been pretty easy. We won 4 games and lost 0. I think I played well. I got some compliments about my game. I sort of feel that I was just playing at my level today and that in previous games I'd been playing below myself. Making stupid mistakes. It was really really fun. In the last game I got to handle a lot more which was also really fun. I got one hand-block. I was involved in a bunch of points. Throwing for a so many points was a bit new for me.

Rob had some good games today too. His defense was excellent and he played a consistent game. I think a couple of layouts too. There was one swearing match at one of the games that Rob was involved in. It was a really poor spirited game. Rob got quite riled up but the whole thing ended in apologies all around. It's a good thing too, 'cause I really didn't want to have to fight the guy who was swearing at my hubbie.
