Another nod to TV

It's embarassing to say, but I think I'm really excited about the fall tv schedule. At least in part because it means that I'll have something fun to look at while I'm knitting.

Since I posted before about So You Think You Can Dance, I thought I would again. I missed last weeks episode, unfortunately, but I'm sort of caught up now. I really liked the performances last night. I think the judges are getting more critical as the weeks go on -- and as they should. The thing is, either they're able to see faults that I can't or they're just making crap up. I do think that the final 6 are probably the top 6 dancers that entered the competition. The audience has voted well. I'm not exactly convinced about Melody. She's stepped it up a fair bit since I last watched. I guess the biggest thing for me with her is that I HATE her solos. She shouldn't ever try to choreograph, I don't think. But she dances well when she's given something good to work with.

The tragedy last night was that SYTYCD was on at the same time as the premiere episode of Martha Stewart Aprentice! So I had to do some skilful flipping back and forth. I didn't really like the Donald Trump Aprentice but I LOVED the first episode of MSA. I suspect it's because I can relate to the players a little better. It's only been one show and already there have been crazy rants, guys I want to hit, and a catfight in the conference room. It's a very interesting little experiment in sociology.

Tonight is the first episode of CSI. Hope I'll get to see it when I get home from the gym! And the new Desperate Housewives airs on Sunday. Anybody know when the new Gilmore Girls starts?

In other news: the Christmas knitting is progressing well. I'm about 3/4 through Kristin's gift, about 45% done my mum's, and I'm going to start Rob's dad's present this weekend. I finished my One Skein Wonder on the weekend but I don't have a picture yet. Which reminds me: I think the camera fund will be over $300 at the first of next month.

Coming up: Grape and Wine Festival in St. Catharines this weekend. We leave tomorrow night!!

Talk to you soon,
B

I think Gilmore Girls started Wednesday night. I don't watch it but thought I saw an ad for it. Hey what did you think about Warrick getting wed.
Mum
Can't print what I think about Martha or Donald.

You're right, GG started a while ago. 2 episodes have already aired on WB!! But I've been looking on Global every Wednesday night and haven't caught it. Well, I guess we'll be downloading them.

I liked the twist about Warrick. He'd been talking about Tina for about half of last season. Hated the bit about Catherine's "fantasy" being unfulfilled. She's too old and her lips have too much collagen in them to dream about him. Makes her look like a cougar instead of a sexy lady attracting men of her age. Thought they could have done more to show that Nick is still a bit traumatized. Show was ok..but not as good as the season finale from last season. The deadbody soup was pretty disgusting.

What did you think?

I cannot believe that you think Jamile belongs in the top six. Yes, his solos are to-die-for but even his hip-hop partner dancing isn't always great and anything else is mediocre at best. He has no technique. Artem belonged in the top six with Blake and Nick.

I found the whole CSI episode a bit blah in comparision to other years. More should have been done with Nick because they dragged the stuff about Sarah out over a couple of years. I do agree Catherine is a bit gross but I think they are keeping her stripper past alive, but Warrick certainly is not her style.
